Wim Labat, also known by his artist name Blackbird Motion, is a composer and producer from Oostkamp, Belgium.

His new album, Ground Breaking, is set for release soon.

Driven by a lifelong passion for music, spanning dance, folk, Americana, and early jazz, Wim has followed a unique and evolving musical path.

With Ground Breaking, he marks a bold new chapter. Unlike his earlier sample-based works, Moving On (2002) and Dreamscapes (2013), this album is built entirely from the ground up, fully composed and produced by the artist himself.

Musically, Ground Breaking moves through ambient, relaxation, cinematic, and electronic soundscapes, inviting the listener into an immersive and reflective world.
